Your Breast Cancer Experience

I am 13 yrs post mastectomy and reconstruction. I have some advice about reconstruction. The procedure I had was a TRAM FLAP, which is transverse abdominal mucsle. The abdomial muscle on the same side of the BR CA is brought up to create a breast mound. You have a scar from one side to the other of the abdomen. It's a wonderful procedure. No implants are needed nor the problems associated with that procedure.I worked for the plastic surgeon for 10 yrs who did this procedure.
